Real Madrid CF target Sergio Aguero wanted by Manchester City
http://www.crunchsports.com/category...City-20110706/ Manchester City have joined Real Madrid and Juventus in the race to sign Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero. Juventus are believed to be favourites to sign the Argentina international, who is currently on international duty at the Copa America. The 23-year-old earlier this week insisted he would not make a decision on his future until after the tournament, despite Atletico's sporting director, Jose Luis Perez Caminero, recently demanding that he finds a new club in the next week as the Spanish side look to sign a replacement. But although Juve are scheduled for talks with Atletico over a £35million deal for Aguero, The Sun reports that Man City are keen on luring him to Eastlands as a replacement for Carlos Tevez. Tevez on Monday revealed that he wants to quit City this summer, causing manager Roberto Mancini to scramble to find a replacement in time for the start of the new season. Mancini is set for a busy summer in the transfer market but a central striker was not believed to be one of his priorities as he thought the former Manchester United striker was settled at the club. But providing Tevez - who has been valued by the club at £50m - is sold, Mancini will reportedly look at signing Aguero, who on Tuesday told reporters that he did not plan to make a quick decision on where he would be playing club football next season. "I thought that, by now, I would have made a decision about my future, but it has been very hard," he said. "Everything is in the hands of my agents and when Copa America is over, everything will be solved." Chelsea have also shown interest in the Argentine.
