Default Why is this thread soo Unknown?

Websites like Ole Ole and soccer24/7 have hundreds and thousands of fans on the Madrid forum. How come this forum - a proper madrid forum - doesnt have many people coming on here? i Just dont get it.

This is the best structured RM forum out there. I was looking desperately for a forum like Red Cafe or Rawk and this comes the closest.

C'mon Madridista's!! Lets get some posts rolling and get our name out there!!

I am surprised aswell. When I googled the site I was like this looks good, but realized there was hardly any threads and members here which was disappointing. Got really sick of goal.com's bias towards barca. So wanted somewhere else to waste my work days browsing on!

p.s don't come accross many other Aussie RM fans.

Yea i've been wasting my time on forums like Red cafe and the barca forums but my God it is so tiring having to listen to these ignorant fans. I just want a platform for us Madridista's with similar viewpoints to communicate properly.

Yea Aussie RM fans are rare! I only personally know one other bloke

Are you from Australia? I'm from Sydney btw

Live in Brisbane.
I don't know any RM fans. All my mates who watch football watch epl and a few watch the Italian league.
Yeah all the bandwagon barca fans annoy me. As a Real fan I could still appreciate how good barca was (in ronaldinho's day) but now the fans and team are so full of themselves but try to be seen as humble.

Yea that whole "Holier than thou" attitude is really wearing thin. They are so thick! I have noticed though that the world is waking up to their smugness and now many people hate them.

That being said though, however much i hate the club and their fans i still owe them credit as they deserve it. They have been impressive in recent years but their time will come to an end as all other streaks have. From 97 to 2004 it was all Madrid. From 04 to now its been Barca.

Its the same for all teams. In the epl it was the same, Liverpool in the 70s and 80s and now Man U in the 90s and 2000s.

I know what you mean as all of my friends and relatives do not understand how anyone could support a team other than PL teams.

It's all about reputation. The early days are the hardest, once you can get a good member base and it becomes well known you will find members and posting improve out of sight. One problem is that the majority of Madrid fans speak spainish so they wont be able to read anything on the site. Is it possible to get the site to be spainish for spanish members and then it translate back to english for english members. (If this isnt already in use.)

Sorry to double post but since i have joined (about 8 hours ago) only one person has been online, most people would be bored and not intrested in coming onto a forum were no one is ever on. I know its really hard to do but you have to spend hours a day on the forum so if you really want this to work you must be willing to give up so much time.

I know this may sound silly but i suggest that the admin and a few of the most active members should make two or three fake accounts and just post as the and have debates with them so insted of having 4 active accounts you have 12 and it then makes the forum look much more active and people will be more likely to join. At first you may think it sounds silly but it does work.

You know how you said why doesn't this forum have people coming to it? Dont take this the wrong way but there admins are constantly working on making the website better. Here is a thread discussing how to get the forum better that other forums yet there is not one post from the admin.

The active members here look like top blokes and posters, you have vBulletin and hardly any competition (I dont think there is any other English Madrid forums) so you dont really have any excuse's to fail.

I dont think the spanish speaking fans would be a problem as Madrid have one of the largest fan bases in the world only second to liverpool if im not mistaken.

Thanks for your input man. I will try spending more hours on this site definately. I've noticed a good growth in this forum recently. The input of more consistent posters have definately been crucial to the forum. I remember there wer only around 9 active users and now there are 16. I hope you can join in remaining consistent as well lol. But ye i like the points you raised. Cheers.

I'm a new member.
This forum should be getting more traffic. It's the only strictly RM forum out there.
I think we need more boards:

1. To discuss the youth teams and players coming up the ranks
2. To discuss non RM players
3. To discuss La Liga and its teams
4. To discuss other leagues e.g EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, etc and international football also.
I'd do my best to bring other fans over.
