Marcelo was playing better than his previous seasons. But he is not good at defence.

I think this is a solid transfer.

This signing is a very good signing for Madrid. Mourinho came into the club wanting to strengthen the squad - This has been successfully achieved. Now Madrid have the greatest squad with the greatest depth.

We now have 2 world class players for EACH position! This is extremely useful considering that a season consists of 50 - 60 games and things can go horribly wrong when injuries occur. Now that we have strengthened it we wouldnt have to worry.
