Yea i just saw the reports and it looks like AVB doesnt wanna let him go.
I think its sad, he needs game time. He's young and still has alot to offer. His problem in my opinion is the chelsea system. The style they play with does not suit him as well. Liverpool and Atletico play similarly in that when they receive the ball in their half, they immediately look forward and rush the counter and provide Torres with the ball in situations where he is one on one with the defender. That is his preference and he thrives on that. If you look at Chelsea though, they have a slow build of play. They like to keep the ball and when they retrieve it they pass alot and again, slowly build up and when Torres recieves the ball, the opposition already have 10 men in their own halves defending again.

Chelsea only play like that with the old faces of Lampard, Malouda and not creative enough midfielders such as Meireles and Ramires. They need new faces, Sturridge and Mata have helped them a lot in the forward line but their midfield still lacks a bit. They have a youngster called Josh McEachran who looks very, very good in my opinion. Torres needs more game time though like you say before anything changes. Villas-Boas is just going for the safer option of Drogba right now.
