Arrow What formation should Real Madrid play ?

The title says it all. If Ribery would only join and VDV and RVN left, it would easily be a 4-2-3-1 for me.

But currently it look likes it's,

Casillas (Dudek/Adan),

Sergio Ramos (Arbeloa), Raul Albiol (Garay), Pepe (Metzelder), Marcelo (Drenthe),

Lass (Diarra), Alonso (Gag),

Kaka (Guti/VDV), Ronaldo (Granero),

Benzema (Higuain), Raśl (RVN).

So do you think the CM/AM area is too congested with this formation ? And can you rely on the fullbacks for width every time especially when Real Madrid play a team like Barca who use a 4-3-3 Wingers formation ?

I personally think if Real Madrid want to use this formation, it should have one striker and 3 AM's/Wingers behind him.

The only thing wrong with your lineup are 2 things in my oipinion which does not make any of us right or wrong, but here it is MARCELO is not a defender (he dribbles to much & looses the ball too much due to bad passes or decisions) a defender has to be a sure thing with the ball at his feet, becuae if he loses the ball then he has immediately given the other team a scoring opportuinity but if he loses the ball further down the field he not only has enough real estate behind him to correct the problem but he has a defender as well. Also the 2nd problem is Raul great player & all (In great gratitude for years of service) but not a starter anymore in this point in his career, great for maybe 35 to 40 minutes each game but thats it. So that being said my lineup would also be a 4-2-3-1
x
CASILLAS
Sergi Ramos Pepe Albiol Arbeloa
(Drenthe) (Metzelder)

x x
Lass Xabi Alonso
(Gago)

Higuain KAKA CR9
(VDV) (Granero) (Marcelo)

x
Benzema
(Raul)
(RVD)

The problem with what Pelligrini is doing is he is putting too much of the same type of players in the midfield causing a power struggle for the one who controls the play of the game, he must understand that there can be only 1 MIDFIELD GENERAL(Xabi Alonso) Only 1 Work Horse (LASS) ONLY 1 True Outside Midfielder (CR9) Only 1 Playmaker (KAKA), you cant't have Guti-Kaka-Xabi Alonso-VDV all in the same midfield like we had against Sevilla at one Point too much uncertainty in play & that's what caused the look of congestion in our play cause they all wanted to drop back in midfield to recieve the ball, the AMF (KAKA) should be the only one to roam freely but that does mean he cannot interchange positions during the course of the game as long as tactical shape always has people occupying defined positions giving the game width & height

let me know what you think

Default my opinion 4-2-2-2

hi.....
first i read and thank you for these opinions but we want to solve this problem or less its effects .

second i think that the think that or team don't have is to controlle our passes ,was shor or long ,land or high , this will make a type of confidence in the players and will force their abilities >
and about ronaldo he was flowingly playing by the english leg. notions and its open fieldes play was in ronaldo's feet until now ,thus he must play in all matches and we accept his perform to accustom on spanish fotbul.

pellegrini's foramtion was comletely excellent the only thing that real madrid not do and its chrust me it's the model of these seasons the thing that :
(the plan 4-4-2 the Midfielders, one of them near one of the forwards and the second was move and transfer the ball from the the another two midf. to the forwards the two another midf. will be near the defenders the movings in play wil be like this:

1-the two forwards always in their positions .
2-the 2 frontal midf. always in the attack mode near the forwards,.
3-one of the frontal midf. was in arc area at the corners with three defenders in their positions.
4-the another 2 midf. move to the wings in the attack and in the wings at the defending.
5-the 4 def. all defending in the center and a little help in the wings .
in the corners the back midf. near the Goal-based , and the frontal midf. check the back lines.

am tired so enoughtoday and please read the another teams formations and plans after that come to here to help the team the right help.

I Think 3 4 3 but make the midfield down a little
make a Ronaldo in Left Side and Kaka Right Side...
This is THe combo of this Formation ... and this make a super def ...
because they can't break this midfield and i hope u will use this formation to real madrid because this is the ultimate of team work formation if there is no teamwork then this will fail
