Promoting this Forum

From past experience you hardly get any active members from Facebook or Twitter. I suggest trying other forums and people you would talk to on other forums because they are proven forumers. You have to show them why your forum is better than there forum because many people are happy were they are because there on a big active forum already so you have to get them to atleast give your forum a chance.
