The only thing wrong with your lineup are 2 things in my oipinion which does not make any of us right or wrong, but here it is MARCELO is not a defender (he dribbles to much & looses the ball too much due to bad passes or decisions) a defender has to be a sure thing with the ball at his feet, becuae if he loses the ball then he has immediately given the other team a scoring opportuinity but if he loses the ball further down the field he not only has enough real estate behind him to correct the problem but he has a defender as well. Also the 2nd problem is Raul great player & all (In great gratitude for years of service) but not a starter anymore in this point in his career, great for maybe 35 to 40 minutes each game but thats it. So that being said my lineup would also be a 4-2-3-1

CASILLAS
Sergi Ramos Pepe Albiol Arbeloa
(Drenthe) (Metzelder)

x x
Lass Xabi Alonso
(Gago)

Higuain KAKA CR9
(VDV) (Granero) (Marcelo)

Benzema
(Raul)
(RVD)

The problem with what Pelligrini is doing is he is putting too much of the same type of players in the midfield causing a power struggle for the one who controls the play of the game, he must understand that there can be only 1 MIDFIELD GENERAL(Xabi Alonso) Only 1 Work Horse (LASS) ONLY 1 True Outside Midfielder (CR9) Only 1 Playmaker (KAKA), you cant't have Guti-Kaka-Xabi Alonso-VDV all in the same midfield like we had against Sevilla at one Point too much uncertainty in play & that's what caused the look of congestion in our play cause they all wanted to drop back in midfield to recieve the ball, the AMF (KAKA) should be the only one to roam freely but that does mean he cannot interchange positions during the course of the game as long as tactical shape always has people occupying defined positions giving the game width & height

let me know what you think
